I did encounter an issue and Rob from CS called me and resolved my issue. This programming software works great for my FT 991A. You WILL NOT be disappointed.Įarlier 5-star review posted by KJ3LR on Save yourself the headache and use this instead of the free software. I was able to copy and paste from my 991A's programming software from RT into the FTM-400's program. This current one bought today for my new FTM-400. This is my third programming software from RT Systems. Software is communicating with the radio just as it should now. However, the radio somehow got it's CPU scrambled and customer support helped me figure that out. Worked flawlessly the few times I used it. I recently purchased (March 2021) the programming software and interface cable from RT for a new Btech UV50X3 tri-band mobile rig. My 4th programming software from RT Systems. I manually program my rigs, but having a software to clone and replace is nicer than carrying a paper spreadsheet. There are several FREE software programs, if you wish to keep a quick file and transfer/clone to radios. I never needed help until the FTM-400 and this was not a good experience with Jared.

Jared should be thankful Erica (works for RT Systems) helped me first and is super nice, professional and very helpful even though she couldn't fix my issue. I manually programmed the radio and wanted to make a change, well I won't buy any more RT Systems products. I had to tell and ask Jared three or four times to be patient, professional and help me. Jared with RT Systems simply attacked me when he was on the phone. He was completely rude, disrespectful, argumentative, unprofessional and said the problem is the SCU-20 and his software doesn't have problems at all even after being told Yaesu checked the SCU-20 and it's fine. Jared was the last tech to "assist" using team viewer.

I did a factory reset and called RT back for help as directed by RT system (a different tech) support had me install TeamViewer then call RT back. I called RT back to let them know I did contact Yaesu and we checked the SCU-20 found fine, no problem. I called Yaesu the tech Endaf went over the SCU-20 and two laptops. She consulted with Jared and told me the SCU-20 was the problem and is faulty and try a factory reset. I wrote email showing what I was getting for error windows and called forTech Support (Erica helped first) and had the same problem the program tried to communicate, but always failed, error or wrong radio. There was a communication problem with the software and the radio using the SCU-20. I never had an issue until the Yaesu FTM-400XDR/DE. I have several RT Systems over the years for different rigs.
